Those are some great suggestions. Thanks very much! We are not shy of snow. In fact I relish snow. I live in Minneosta and it was a very dry winter so I am dreaming of snow. It sounds like the avy coniditions might mellow out later this weekend which would rock. We are a party of 6 planning to climb Shuksan this weekend- and then 2 of us were planning to hit either Alpine lakes region or Boston Basin area in the later part of the week.... Thoughts?

A group of us midwesterners are coming to climb this week and it looks wet out there. Could anybody suggest some 'east of the crest' moderate alpine routes that might be in better condition that Shuksan?

We're planning to come out climbing in a few weeks and I think the access to Adams is going to be quite a slog- how close can we get to the Trailhead on Baker for the Coleman glacier route ??

I'm part of a party of 6 coming out to Adams in mid April with hopes on climbing either the Southwest Chute, The Avalanche glacier, or the Mazama glacier. I'm curious if anyone knows about 1) how close we could drive the mountain in a rental car 2) the differences between these routes... Cheers!
