There's climbing up on the North Shore of Lake Superior. But I have yet to experience it...
-
Yup. Duluth area is great, but as far as the midwest in general is concerned... I share your sentiments.

dunno about climbing there. just took collegites on backpacking trips. actually the only climbing I knew about in the area was at taylor's falls, mn.
Eehh... doesn't matter anyways. I will be out west soon enough.

Yeah, I could use another female presence around here tonight...

nice, the U.P.! I used to run trips for a college outdoor program to the porcupines
The park managers are my good friend's parents! The UP is damn cool. Lots of fun stuff! Although I don't know how the climbing is?

No French here, sorry boys. No maid outfit either. You'll have to wait for another female avatar to fall for that one! And yup, I'm pure bred Midwest. Upper Michigan to be exact.

This isn't fair! I'm feeling guilty... I wanna vote for everyone! Iain just was really floundering trying to be tough and find his spirit animal T-rex earlier. Help me out here, I'm just trying to build his self-esteem! We need another female to vote... Bueller?

Real....we know who's gettin' your attentions
Maybe I'll be able to contribute to this discussion after I eventually attend the real deal... Until then, I am no help.
Virtual, I vote for iain. For all his effort put forth for a studly avatar....

Who is the stud of pub club? Discuss...
The stud of our sad attempt at a virtual one or are we talking the real pub clubbers?

Oops! Ok, well let me rephrase that... This is totally different than work for MOST of us. Not everyone has the privellige to enjoy a brew while working hard. You're lucky. They hiring?

but this isn't any different than being at work
on a related note that damn custodian took away my empties again.
Totally different than work. You can drink now!

Oh well, I tried.
Valiant effort.

excellent, mission accomplished. If I can just keep you from reading the thread about my pet newt I'm set.
Nahh... with that first hiccuping T-rex, I knew you weren't too tough. The newt story just confirms my suspicions.

'as long as he's cute"......I tend to think the word "cute" is open for interpretation here (read: I'm just downright average). But I'll still spot ya! adven: how's the climbing coming? are you leading in the gym?
Yup! Leading a lot and learning lots too! Climbed for a long time tonight... I can tell I'm improving. Yay!!!
Iain... I like the new Avatar. Much tougher.

I'm stuck in MN for spring break. Help me!! I wanna go to a Pub Club...
you could go to Bishop and get spotted
Hey man, at least I'd be climbing! That's all I want to do right now. I could even handle the chalk hand prints on my ass. As long as the spotters were cute that is...

i was hoping it would accentuate my rugged, tough side
If you could freeze him with his mouth open, I think that effect could be pulled off. There's just something inherently funny (at least to me) in the continuous opening and closing of his mouth. Have him hold his nose and drink a glass of water maybe?

Iain... Your new dino avatar looks like he's got the hiccups!!!

Here's an idea I just had... Although I am guessing it has already been tried and proven impossible. POWDERED BEER!!! Just think of the possibilities. Have your favorite beverage while on a big wall, the top of a mountain, or on a backpacking trip. Any chemists around here? Is this at all feasible? I am betting that alcohol's chemical properties would not lend themselves well to turning it into a powder. But I still think it's a grand idea!
Cheers!

If i have to listen to that lynn rosetto caspar lady on "the splendid table" (a minnesota public radio production) on NPR again I'll shoot myself
Yeah, but just think how good something else will sound after she's off the air! And... Just a thought, but couldn't you change the station?!

what would one learn about Minn-e-soh-tah from its radio?
Well... If you get lucky you get to hear one of those call-in auction things. You can buy one of neighbor Betty Ann's pies while the whole town listens. I'm not sure what that says about MN...

If nothing else, I find the Jesus stations quite amusing! It's amazing what some people believe!
