  1. like this site welcomes newbies

    Guess again!

There is a huge hazing period you must go through. We all went through it.

Bah, this site is fine for newbies, and anyone interested is welcomed, I was there when I didn't know my ass from a bowline. The trick is to have some tact and not be an asshole!

  2. "Good Job! This was probably needed a while ago..."

No, it wasn't, and it's not needed now.

Ok, let me speculate - twocents is a hypocritical asshole, advocating respect for the climbers families, but then carrying on with morbid speculation that causes nothing but more hurt by second guessing a situation that he knows nothing about and cannot offer anythig relevent to.

    Not too far off, eh?

  3. Steve! It'll be good to see ya. I'll be lurking by the Festivale. And while I'm a sucker for that porter I think the ESG would be a pretty good choice. BTW, you rockband.gifbigdrink.gif

but 5 pitches of super easy super fun bolt clippin'!

More like 1.2 pitchs of super easy fun, the rest is silly! wazzup.gif

  4. Four Wild Country Forged Friends, sizes 1.5, 1.75, 2, 2.5. Used, but in good shape. All tied off short with Maxim tech cord. I'd like to sell all together, $75. I'm in Portland. Headed to the TuffFest this weekend, otherwise I can ship somewhere. - Jeff

  5. Got my new M2 battery door the other day, a couple of weeks after I requested it via their website. Looks the same but with the addition of a little rubber strip on the inside of the door and a foamlike vs. rubberlike gasket. Anyways, doesn't look like it'll make a huge difference, but I was happy enough with Ortovox's quick response. Thanks for the heads up Snoboy!

  6. John Stewart:

"Now, for you people who are saying, 'Well, stop pointing fingers at the president ... left-wing ... the media's being too hard: No. Shut up. No. This is inarguably -- inarguably -- a failure of leadership from the top of the federal government.

"Remember when Bill Clinton went out with Monica Lewinsky? That was inarguably a failure of judgment at the top. Democrats had to come out and risk losing credibility if they did not condemn Bill Clinton for his behavior. I believe Republicans are in the same position right now. And I will say this: Hurricane Katrina is George Bush's Monica Lewinsky. The only difference is this: Tens of thousands of people weren't stranded in Monica Lewinsky's vagina."

  7. The poor are the people who are used to taking orders, not giving them. All the people who ran New Orleans, who made the everyday decisions, were able to evacuate by car. The ones left were the ones lacking initiative. I don't think anyone should be surprised.

Lacking initiative? Pull your head out of your ass CBS, that's just about the stupidest thing you've ever posted...
