  1. Does anyone actually organize this or does everyone just show up?
  2. you are insane. i don't see how you could do a 48 mile hike climbing 7500 feet in 16 hours. more power to ya
  3. I already have tickets for the Gorge show or i might think about gonig down to Bend. so what's the best compground near the gorge. i don't mean for the night after the show, but for sunday night.
  4. Wasn't sure where to post this... Anybody going to this show? Thought we'd camp out the night after the show with all the other freaks and then head somewhere close for some hiking *ack!* the next day and whatnot. Where's the best place to camp for the views and whatnot?
  5. How late will this go? I have some friends coming into town tongiht who use this service (along with me) who'd like to go, but it could be 10pm before we'd get a chance to make it.
  6. What would you guys/girls recommend for a 4-5 day climb? Some friendsand I were thinking of doing Deception in Olympic, but we've gotconflicting reports on whether it's a good or bad idea, and on theroad closures. The goal is to spend as much time on snow and glacieras possible, but without doing anything too technical (We all haveextensive backpacking experience, but not alpine climbing. We plan totake one day of instruction before we start the trip in order to 'buy'some alpine experience). It's really tough to gauge times on these mountains because most ofthe books are written for summer climbs where all the roads are open. What do you think? Thanks --Tim
