Scarpas run wide. I have a wide foot and Scarpas are about the most comfortable boot I've found for me. I wear about a size 9 1/2 boot, sometimes a 10 running shoe but my foot measures a 9 on one of those shoe store measuring devices.
Oh yeah, correcton to the first posts size, they're not 42's but 42.5's...sorry.

Size 42. Bought these boots last year and have worn them about 3-4 times. These are the insulated version. ( ) They're in excellent shape, love 'em so much I got 2 pairs, could use the $. Email for details.

if you can find your way down to tennessee for a weekend both obed river & t-wall in chatanooga offer some good trad/mixed sandstone. obed more steep, more sport and t-wall trad classics.
some friends of mine have been working on some difficult new lines at white sides, plenty of steep, BIG granite they say.
stone mtn, 500+ft of slab. had a friend say he never grab on to 'nothing' so hard in his life, teaches excellent footwork. sharpie is right when he says, runout. all slab sport routes were put up on lead w/ some pitches having but 1 bolt, 1 very old bolt. however there are some trad slab/crack routes which are apparrent local classics.

was on the fishers route sunday. camp high, right below winnies slide, this will allow some extra time for the interesting glacier navigation, theres big bergs all over at the base of hells. i made the mistake of camping at lake ann, started early and got off route at the base of the rock pitch in the dark, took up some time, spent too long on the lower glacier trying to find a good path to hells, had weather issues,etc. stay on route and get a early enough start and it should be fairly straight forward,,,enjoy.

cell sites work better at covering locations below towers,,not so good above. analog channels are being removed as to migrate customers to the latest greatest so fewer calls can be made from a particular site w/ the old analog phones,,and as more cell sites go in the more power has to be turned down on the radios so interference doesn't become a issue so the channel you may have been on atop the peaks yesteryear may still be there, just not powerful enough to reach these high points.

yeah robo, sure was cool. maybe the better option for the day would have been descending into the snowfield to the left and up the chute from there, cause i know the route at least originates along that ridge. if you're taking another stab, let me know, i'll join you. what do you have planned for the year?? did you have a
