  1. Nice work and report bro...and I mean bro

Me, bro and a buddy from sweden did a 3 passes (grand, cameron, lost) traverse >15 years ago from obstruction point to dosewallips, but did it over several days with a bunch of crap on our backs.

Bro, hopefully you and James will invite me on a baily range marathon traverse next year..hint...hint...I like the high stuff.

    See you Wednesday.

    Bro

  2. not sure about snow conditions now, but when I was up there several weeks ago, we were overrun by mice at the lowest highcamp on the hogback (the one with a nice big rockwall...aka mouse hotel). I would make for one of the upper designated sites if you plan to stay there. Waking up to several meece trying to get in our packs and one in my bivy bag made for a lame night's sleep. I probably lugged several of them to the summit the next day, but at least we all made it up and down safely

  3. Rob,

Did you find any more partners for Jun11-15? I'm still up for it if you are. Sounds like we might make a good team. Do you anticipate using the whole block of days (DC is usually a 2-3 day event), or just look for the best weather window within the time period. Midweek, we should be able to make it easy on ourselves and stay in the shelter at muir. I'm interested because I have a buddy coming in August to do Kautz on Rainier, and I'd like a training run.

    Let me know.

    Thanks,

    Doug

  4. Was that Sunday morning 01/19? I think I saw you guys

at that time backing down off the ridge amongst some exciting sounding

ice/rock fall (definately below 12-c). The Leuthold hourglass is narrow, but pretty

obvious...to the sober climber...I had no problem smile.gif

  5. Was up above snowdome a couple weekends ago checking out the dream route (North Face) approach and taking some recon photos (the pics referenced from the yocum ridge posting blow my photos away!). From the side it looks quite doable (not like the ominous straight on view). The first rockband seems to be the steepest part. Come on snow level...get down!

    Damn global warming!
