Doing Pilates as a Strength-Building Exercise

Recommended Posts

There are days when hitting the gym just is not an option. Maybe you are pressed for time, or you just do not feel like being around people when you exercise. Or maybe you are bored with the treadmill and elliptical, and you are looking for a change. Well, the unique and great strengthening workout that pilates will provide will give you fabulous results and Yes, you will feel the burn.

If you want to improve your pilates performance, we recommend that you try primobolan for sale.

I exercise at least five days a week and now there has been suggestions that we should do some type of exercise everyday. For the most go for a long run and bike ride, but there are days when I am not in the mood to do those activities. So instead of paying for a gym membership , I decided to purchase and try the Windsor Pilates program. After watching numerous rotations of the Windsor Pilates infomercial, I thought that the worst that could come from my purchase is that I would not get results from the program.

The package that I purchased came with three DVDs, one for the abs, one for the buns and thighs and the other was a total body workout with aerobics. I had the intentions of doing all three videos at once but that soon proved to be a hard goal to meet. The abs video really works your core from the beginning to the end of the video. There were parts of the video that I had to take a short break then start again because I the burn that I was getting became to intense. My favorite abs exercise from this video would be the one hundred. This exercise looks weird but it really targets your abs muscles and helps strength your back.

Once I was done with the Abs DVD, I took a break and then went on to the Bun and Thigh DVD.

The Bun and Thigh DVD is where unrealistic goals die hard. This workout program is hard but it is so worth the burn. Again from the beginning of the exercise routine you will feel the burn . One key tip when doing these exercises is to make sure you make controlled movements and not really move your hips but move your leg. This will work your buttocks and thighs hard. If you are doing the motions and do not feel any burn then you are doing the motions wrong. My favorite exercise from the Bun and Thighs DVD would be the last set of movements that the creator of the Windsor Pilates program developed herself. These movements involve laying on your side ( which you do throughout the exercise) in a fetal position. The movements that you will go through will work your entire leg and buttocks and you may want to stop in the middle of the routine, but do not.

Once I was done with the Buns and Thighs DVD, I could instantly feel the soreness and I was physically tired for the workout. I was pleasantly surprised with the Windsor Pilates DVDs and I use them on alternate days as opposed to running everyday. I believe this helps strengthen my body , create better posture and relieves my ankles from the constant pounding they endure when I run. For the price the program is worth every penny and I have seen older versions of the Windsor Pilates programs in discount stores. I strongly recommend that everyone should try Windsor Pilates and if you are not interested in doing the program at home many local gyms offer pilates programs that you can utilize. So for those who have been shying away from the program because they do not believe that it will work you out, try it, you will feel the burn.
