WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

8000 Meter Peak . . . Fall 2015?!

Recommended Posts

Is anyone with experience interested in attempting an 8000 meter peak in the fall of 2015. I am looking at Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, or Cho Oyu as potential peaks to try. This will be my first time attempting a peak over 8000 meters. I have reasonably quotes for logistics only providers on the peaks listed above. Send me a message if interested and we can go from there.

Serious inquiries with extensive experience only please

might be a good idea to list your resume here so any potential folks can see immediately what your qualifications are, even though your trip reports suggest that you probably know what you're doing.

Hey Kushrock,

I have been researching 8000 meter peaks for 2015 season (G2 or broad peak). I have extensive experience in search and rescue and expedition mountaineering. I have no real altitude experience with the exception of Rainer and Denali.

I would be happy to send you a resume. Which 8000 meter peaks are leaning toward? are you thinking about using oxygen on the ascent?
