allenataylor Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Had to bail on an attempt to climb the upper half of the north ridge yesterday. My partner and I had hoped we could get to the climb in approach shoes with crampons but the approach gully was still entirely snowed in and too steep to safely climb without boots (maybe even 2 axes). It might have softened some later in the day, but at 11am it was still rock hard. There is also snow almost all the way from Ingalls pass to the base of the climb. There are sporadic small snow patches left on the ridge. Quote
