Dewray Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 (edited) Hello, I'm trying to find some climbing partners in the PNW. 5 years ago I moved from Olympia, WA to Flagstaff, AZ for college. I've since gotten into climbing in a big way. My resources in the the southwest are limited to rock routes and a few technical mountains. However, my passion for the sport keeps drawing me to the mountains. Specifically I want to climb the glaciated peaks of the PNW. I'm looking for a partner or two that I could plan extended weekend trips to the cascades with this spring/summer. I'm eager and technically knowledgeable of rock anchors, ropes systems and movement of climbing on steep ice. I'm deficient in the areas of snow/ice anchors and glacier travel though I do have some experience. To get a feel for the kind of climber I am here's a short list my climbing accomplishments: RNWF Halfdome, 13.5 hours The Nose Zoroaster/Brahma Temple, Grand Canyon, 15h11m car to car Shune's Buttress, Zion (free) Moonlight Buttress, Zion (aid) Mt. Rainier, Dis. Cleaver (guided) Several trips to climb ice at the Ouray Ice Park, mostly top ropped If you need someone that is gungho to get into the mountains, please let me know. I learn fast and I won't have too much trouble keeping up in the mean time. Thanks, Nate P.S. I understand I live in AZ. I'm willing to travel as this is a very important goal of mine.
