PowderGangster Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Trip: Coquihalla Highway Dec 16 2012 - Date: 12/16/2012 Trip Report: Made my first trek to the Coquihalla this weekend. Snow hadn't stacked up quite as early as it has in previous years. The last few storms have quickly built a 200cm base. Lots of people out and about. Stability was good but southern facing slopes were sporting a pretty good sun crust. I had looked at skiing the North Bowl between Yak and Thar a few times last year but never quite got around to it. This line is awesome though not one you would want to ski if you are even questioning stablity. Lots of narrow chokes and chutes.
