We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Colchuck Peak this weekend?

Recommended Posts

Hello, I am interested in climbing Colchuck Peak via Colchuck Glacier Route tomorrow morning(Saturday 07/29) or perhaps Sunday morning. I don't have a lot of alpine climbing experience, but I was hoping to go with someone who knows the route and has a bit more experience.

I would most likely want to take a short break at Colchuck Lake, since I have never been to the Enchantments before. I know it is going to be a very long day, coming from Seattle. Let me know if you are interested!

Also, I don't know if this matters, but I am female in my late 20's.

My condition changes a lot - some days I do well on regular hikes, other days I really have to slow down. Sometimes it also depends on the weather.

PM me if you are interested. Hope that you are also in Seattle area, so we could carpool together! Thanks! :)
