Pete Graham Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Hi, I want to visit the tiedemann glacier as a team of 2 for about 3 weeks in july and am looking at ways of keeping the cost of flights down. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on the merits and feasibility of the following options: 1) Walk in and out with gear. Obviously the cheapest option, but how feasible is it and how long will in take with three weeks of food and gear? 2) Walk in and out and have gear flown in and out. Does anyone know how much it might cost to have some your gear flown in on someone elses flight and how easy is this to aranage? 3) Fly in and walk out. Seems like it could be a good comprimise. Meaning you are fresh to climb at the start of the trip and don't have to do any walking with 3 weeks weight of food. Any advice will be much appreciated. Cheers, Pete. Quote
