It is the home base for Galen Rowell, the place is full of stunning photos. Galen was actually in his office, but he was on the phone the whole time, didn't get a chance to meet him. And there's a great Mexican place just down the street. Oh yeah, and if you're in Bishop, head west and get up in the mountains, too.
