caude Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 The Mazamas Expedition Committee hosts world-renown climber Peter Whittaker for a presentation of his January 2011 First Ascent Expedition to the summit of Mount Vinson and the establishment of several new ski descents in Antarctica. Join Peter on this mountaineering and skiing adventure as he, Ed Viesturs, Seth Waterfall, Caroline George and four clients climb the Vinson Massif (16,067’) the highest peak in Antarctica and one of the renowned “Seven Summits". Tickets are $10 advance sales at the downtown REI and the MMC or $15 at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Mazama Expedition Grants Fund.
