The jacket allows zipping in an insulating layer so that the jackets become one unit. The Gore-Tex fabric is water and wind proof. Multiple pockets allow for many gear organizing options and a good place to keep your power bar warm. The hood is attached to the jacket, so no need to worry about loosing it in the wind or back of your closet or your buddy's car. Zippers are in great shape, fabric is also in great shape.
