At Three Creek Lake located just outside the Three Sisters Wilderness, two beautifully hand-crafted 20’ yurts await backcountry skiers. From the huts, ski the surrounding meadows and bowls, or follow the wilderness westward over spectacular ridges, lakes and buttes leading to the 9-10,000’ peaks of Broken Top, South, Middle, and North Sister. The terrain offers limitless tours and ski lines for all ability levels. Gabe will discuss current and future offerings of Three Sisters Backcountry, including yurt stays, guided ski tours, and avalanche safety and training through the Oregon Avalanche Institute. Gabe is an experienced Forest Service Snow Ranger and Ski Patroller, as well as AIARE (Level I & II) avalanche course leader. He carries a wilderness EMT, and brings a strong history and intimate knowledge of the Central Oregon Cascades.
