Come on out to kick off the winter and show your support for NWAC at the Tractor Tavern on Sat, November 8 following the Northwest Snow and Avalanche Summit. Hand Cut, this years release from Sweetgrass Productions will be kicking the evening off from 830 to 9pm. The Hand Cut release includes endless pillow lines in the BC interior; exposed descents in the Coast Range with ski mountaineering legend John Chilton. Hand Cut: self-propelled stories brought to life in High Definition and brilliant 16mm film. Tickets are $25 at the door or $20 in advance at Brown Paper Tickets... Snowbash 2008 Tickets via BPT! Also, the Northwest Snow and Avalanche Summit is also all day on 11/8. It is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested to hear a variety of information related to avalanche science. It is at the Epiphany School, 3710 E. Howell in Seattle. Starting at 8 AM and ending at 4:30 PM. Speakers include:Martin Volken, Lowell Skoog, Garth Ferber, Tom Murphy, and Sam Cavanaugh.
