Do you like lots of talus and scree? If so, give it a go. The Olympic Mountain guidebook has adequate information to get you up the mountain. Remember to go to the right before you hit the hourglass (cliffs make it obvious where it is), then up and left around the cliffs. When you enter the upper South Couloir, the route should be easy to find, just take the line of least resistance.

Turned out way easier route finding than expected. The climbers trail is well developed. Ascending and descending through the burn was the only minor hangup. Super hot. Drank 7 liters.

Camped at the "forks" where there is plenty of water. But after leaving the lake the stream disappears for a mile or two!
