tobe945 Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 The Puna de Atacama region in Chile is absolutely stunning. Desert landscape with peaks over 21,000 ft. create contrasting colors and other-worldly landscapes. Check it out: http://www.summitpost.org/view_object.php?object_id=38915 http://www.summitpost.org/view_object.php?object_id=180825&context_id=150299 http://www.summitpost.org/image/295045/154000/near-paso-de-san-francisco.html Looking for partner(s) to do some of the following climbs in the Puna de Atacama region of Chile: Pissis Ojos del Salado Bonete Llullaillaco Chani Tres Cruces Sur/Central Nevado de San Fransisco Incahausi I have already heavily researched the area. These are technically easy peaks but are in very remote, desolate areas. It also being the desert means you have to carry a LOT of water in. But well worth it. I will be there in April 2008. If you have other suggestions in the area I'm open to those as well. Quote
