NateK Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 I have a pair of Koflach Degree's and I'd like to try something a bit more suited for vertical ice and mixed climbing (No mountains in MN but it does get cold). Must be step-in compatible. Email me at nateknutson (at) gmail dot com. Size 13 or slightly larger. I have a long but narrow/flat foot so I measure at 14-15 but wear 13 usually. Interested in: Salomon Ice Pro's Sportiva Nepal Extreme's Sportiva Ice EVO Vasque Ice 9000 Vasque M-finity Vasque M-possible or...other similar products Quote
Hendershot Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 I am in the same boat Nate, I tried the Scarpa Phantom Lite size 47, but had some heel slippage. Pissed me off cause I got them for $300 and didn't want to return them, but had to. Have you checked out Kayland? The Super Ice and M11 got good reviews, but they are hard to find. I saw some Lowa Cristallo size 13 at Seattle REI garage bin for $175 last time I was down there, but hesitated to buy cause they were heavier than other models. There have been some recent threads comparing the boots you are interested in Trango vs Nepal. Quote
NateK Posted November 27, 2007 Author Posted November 27, 2007 Thanks for the input, the Kaylands look great I think only Zappo's sells them that I could find. Is there more than one REI in Seattle? Which store was it, maybe I'll give them a call. I'd prefer used over new due to budgetary reasons. Thanks, Nate Quote
elliottwill Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I've got a pair of almost new Asolo Summits I'll be able to sell in a few weeks when I get back to AK. PM me if you're interested. Needless to say, they're nice boots. $385 new. I'd sell for $125 just to move them on. (Wrong size for me.) Quote
