owah_tagoo_siam Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 After returning from a Smith Rocks Trip a couple days ago my car was stolen with a bit of climbing and camping gear from right in front of my house. Here is a list just in case anyone happens to come across any of it somewhere. Most of the climbing gear should have dark blue tape marking it. Here is the Depressing list 98 Subaru outback 1 .3 BD Camelot 1 .4 BD Camelot 1 .5 BD camelot 1 .75 BD camelot 2 #1 BD camelots 2 #2 BD camelots 1 #3 BD Camelot 1 #4 BD Camelot 1 #5 BD Camelot Metolious power cams: #2, #3, #4 Aliens: orange, red, gray, yellow, green, black, blue 2 full sets of bd nuts and a couple of hexes locking biners: 10 varius types Belay devices: 1 atc, 2 atc guide, 1 gri gri two tiblocks 35 quickdraws in an ecclectic assortment nuetrinos: 40ish ovals: 10 single slings: 15 double slings: 5 two slackline setups one 70m 9.8 monster rope one 60m 10.5 top gun beal rope One Metolious Rope bags black One BD rope bag blue Metolious safetech deluxe harness S Petzl Adjama harness M BD Halfdome helmet white(no stickers but beat up) Petzl Elios Helmet blue 5.10 moccasym size 7.5 5.10 anasazi velcro size 8.5 La Sportiva Tradmaster size 9 womens 5.10 anasazi velcro size 7 Reef flip flops size 9.5 bd icon headlamp petzl tica headlamp BD sphynx backpack red Gregory backpack black 3000 cubic inches BD bullet pack black one pair of dirty underwear Womens Marmot sleeping bag light blue Mtn Hardwear sleeping bag grayish black MSR XGK stove and light weight cook set. I need to stop looking at this list because it is making me rather depressed. I guess they are all just material possessions but i happen to be quite attached to many of my material possesions. To look on the rather cloudy bright side, at least I have most of my skiing, mountain, and ice gear. I can still play in the winter...as long as i can get a ride. if anyone sees any of my gear please let me know here as soon as you can. Thank you so much Quote
Mountainstyle Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Hey, sorry to hear about that! Where in Tacoma?? I live in the N. end... and am a subaru driver. People suck. I hope you can recover your gear somehow. At least you have a good list of what is missing.... do you have homeowner's or renter's insurance, it should cover your gear. Quote
owah_tagoo_siam Posted November 17, 2007 Author Posted November 17, 2007 No renters insurance. Ironically i didn't think i could afford it. It was stolen from in front of my house on N Oakes over by the University of Puget Sound. Quote
AJScott Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 damn...sorry to hear that! same thing happened to me in the n. end but minus all the climbing gear. I walked out of my house ski's in hand ready to go up to rainier and looked up and down the block and my car was no where to be found I ended up getting the car back...it still drove but it was trashed, my favorite part was the "till the wheels fall off" which was wrote with some huge marker across the dash. I will keep in an eye out for the gear, and best of luck to yah. Quote
Mountainstyle Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Wow, another good Tacoma story, makes me glad I moved up here from Portland. Well.... Tacoma has better access to 'lots of mountains. And, to make you both feel better, last year when I was visiting friends in N. Portland (Alberta Arts District), my Subaru was parked infront of their house and was shot, twice, in gang gun fire. At least the meth-heads out here haven't started shooting at us. Still very sorry to hear about your cars and gear! I am keeping an eye out on Craigslist for you. Quote
Mountainstyle Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Hey, is this any of your stuff.... $1000 trad rack for sale on Craigslist. http://seattle.craigslist.org/search/spo?query=climbing&minAsk=min&maxAsk=max Quote
owah_tagoo_siam Posted November 20, 2007 Author Posted November 20, 2007 I have a lot of the same stuff but it is definitely not my set of gear. thanks for the heads up. I will keep looking. Quote
