lemon Posted November 15, 2002 Posted November 15, 2002 Anyone done the Washington-Ellinor traverse? I keep seeing it every time I go up one or the other, but haven't had a chance to go yet. From Washington, the first part of the ridge looks pretty sporty as it heads out over the blowdown toward Peak "A". Quote
Skisports Posted November 15, 2002 Posted November 15, 2002 it is a fun scramble if you do it durring the summer. But it depends on what time of the year you do it. Durring the winter you bag Washinton and head down west side off mount washington to traverse to elinor from there go up a chute 45-50 degree I think achevie the summit of elinor. The east side requires some upper forth to low forth class climbing I don't really remember. THere is probably ways to advoid it but I haven't looked for them. but doing it in winter watch out for avy I want to ski the traverse some time but head to elinor to washington but I just haven't done it yet Dave Quote
