scottgg Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 This is probably the coolest/best pack I have used. Its perfect for car-car alpine rock climbs, and I even used it overnight on liberty ridge (bit stuffed, but I made it work). If you are looking for a light (2#5oz) pack to do it all, then check this puppy out. Quote
colt45 Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Agreed, I have had one for 2 years and use it as my only pack (sport climbing, skiing, 3-day alpine climbs, CTC trips, visiting the parents in chicago, etc). Highly recommended. Quote
Baltoro Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Great Pack. Sadly they no longer make it like this anymore. Is yours orange? I guess the material was way too spendy to keep that pack at a remotely reasonable pricepoint. I would have ordered three had I known how great it was. It always seems to be big enough and if I can't fit it all in there then I know I'm taking too much stuff. Quote
colt45 Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 You can get the Speed 30 on mgear.com for $65. This is what I have (mine is blue) and at 1 lb 15 oz it's actually lighter than the Speed 28. Quote
still_climbin Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Just got my Speed 30 ($66 @ Mt Gear) in the mail today. I'm impressed. Now I can retire my 1969 Millet. Quote
