National Geographic Everest documentary

Maybe everyone who's anyone has already seen this, but I came across the National Geographic documentary "Everest: 50 Years on the Mountain" (DVD) at the library.

It films the attempt by Edmund Hillary's and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay's sons to climb the SE Ridge, and Pete Athans' and Brent Bishop's attempt on the West Ridge, in 2002.

It also shows some historical footage from the 1952 Swiss and 1953 British expeditions. A bonus feature has an interview with Athans and Erich Weihenmayer, the first blind climber to reach the summit.

Good climbing flick--I recommend it. thumbs_up.gif
