ilookeddown
Climb: Snoqualmie Mt- Date of Climb: 3/2/2006 Trip Report: Did an interesting tour of Snoqualmie Mt. yesterday w/Aaron and Adam. We left the Alpental Parking lot at 6:30 AM in mixed snow/rain. At 3500 ft it turned to heavy snow. When we got to the South side of the mountain strong winds picked up and the snow turned to ice. We decided to tour up the bowl on the SE side of the mountain to stay out of the wind. 20 minutes later, the clouds were gone and the wind had stopped. We toured up to a saddle and spotted a great line that took us to the flat spot between Cave and Snoqualmie. We put our skins back on and toured up about 1000ft and traversed over to the phantom. By this time it was quite warm and the snow was very heavy. Back at the car by 11:15.
