thx in advance

A new tree just caved in and bridged the gap.

The crevasses on the glacier are just beginning to open up.

Things are melting out fast up there.

We summitted at 5:45 this morning. The snow was so soft that we didn't use crampons, and we didn't place any pickets because they probably wouldn't have held.

gary, thanks for your reply. here's what we found:

the river crossing was very easy on comfortable logs, found about 50 ft back down the road from the parking lot. if you pass a little trailhead bulletin board on your left on the way to the river, you know you'll find the right logs. very few bugs. snow starts at the top of the second talus field. the descent gully into roush creek is nicely marked with a piece of pink tape. 2 small crevasses noticed on the eldorado glacier, before the flats at 7500 ft. couple more on the way to eldorado peak, all easily avoided. we used crampons, the snow was a bit hard on the way to the summit in early morning.
