iluka Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 (edited) If you're one of those types that salivate at the thought of doing the east ridge of El Dorado with it's nice exposure, there's a nice peak up in BC with a similarly great ridge run. Wedge Mountain... up near Whistler. We were up there last weekend and had a great time. Great, long ridge run along the North Arete that leads to a pretty summit. And... if you find yourself missing the steep approach on El Dorado, you'll feel right at home on the steep 3,900 foot approach to the base camp area at Wedgemount Lake.
