ketch Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 So this is a question for the younger dads or moms out there. My youngest is out of college and they all grew up outdoors anyway. Now I have been chosen as the favorite uncle to take a nephew out on a hike. He's a good little 10 year old that has no hiking/camping experience. He would like to go on a great explore sometime in the next three of four weeks. I will pick him up in Issaquah and go ? I was thinking of one of the old mine towns or who knows I haven't been in that part of the cascades for some time, let alone with a little kid. Where would you go? Quote
marylou Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 I'm not a youger parent, but I was a little kid in the woods. I think my favorite place when I was that age was probably Mt. Rainier, though by 12 or so I had evolved to being an Alpine Lakes Wilderness snob. If you are talking sooner rather than later, this time of year you might find fun things to do around Potholes. There is all that stuff south of the reservoir, nice car camping, easy hiking, and fishin.' Have fun. These are memories that kid will have for a lifetime. Quote
