Marmot Single Wall Asylum Tent for Sale

Thank you very much to all the guys that bought my other gear from me.

The only thing that I have left is the Asylum tent. The Asylum was manufactured in the late 90's for a few years as Marmot's attempt to compete with Bibler. I've always been a minimalist. I stripped a few extra parts off of the tent like some of my climbing partners did and who have way more experience than I do. The basic tent and 2 poles weigh about 4 lbs and carries very small rolled up. The tent has been used mainly for car camping the last few years and a bit of backpacking. It's perfect for summer around here and full on winter conditions. Where all single wall tents aren't very good is when it's raining, sleeting, and 40 degrees for days on end. It'll keep you "drier" but it's made for less moist conditions in general. If you want to go light and set up a tent in 2 minutes, it's a good deal. There is an optional vestibule and 3rd pole that adds another pound, but almost doubles the size of the tent. Only used it once, but if you are going to be out for awhile, it's worth taking.

I've had a few people express interest in the tent, but no firm offers. Email me if you are interested, jon@cornforthimages.com
