I used to live in Calico Basin.

One night a fleeting winter snow storm hit the basin, we went for a hike out to the old foundation.

We heard the helicopter before we saw it.

The chopper was black with no running lights, flying so low that it's shadowy outline blended in with the ground. They flew right at us,

banking a big turn over the boulders and it was gone..

 

You just gotta love that stuff.
