My Glop Stopper Glopped!

Hi All! Hoping I can get some guidance! During a backcountry hut trip in MT this past weekend, I used Black Diamond Glop Stopper to pre-treat my Pomoca Free Pro 2.0 skins before going out and boy did it do something strange. Rather than evenly coating the skin, the wax clumped and glopped on the skin (see attached photo). Wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if the old paper bag with the iron trick might work to straighten it out.
