I am a 27 year old alpine climber looking for partners. I am mainly interested in steep snow and ice routes on the larger PNW peaks. We might start slow, but eventually I'd like to go after routes like Rainier's Liberty Ridge, Adam's Adams Glacier, Hood's North Face, and hopefully many many more that I haven't even heard of! I've climbed routes up to AI 2 or 3 and I would prefer to climb with someone who at least has glacier travel experience. If you are more experienced, great! Most importantly, I am interested in finding partners who are passionate about alpinism and want to climb fairly regularly this season and beyond.
My climbing experience:
-Baker: 1x Coleman-Deming, 1x Pencil Thin Roman Mustache, 1x Coleman Headwall, 2x North Ridge
-Hood: 3x South Side, 1x Leuthold Couloir, 1x Reid Glacier Headwall
-Adams: many by South Climb, 1x North Ridge
-Rainier: 4x Disappointment Cleaver, 2 additional attempts by DC
-Shasta: 1x Avalanche Gulch
-Colchuck Peak: 1x Colchuck Glacier
-RMI Winter Expedition Skills Seminar
-Army Mountain Warfare School (basic rock climbing and rope systems)
-Army Ranger School (basic rock climbing)
-Single pitch waterfall ice to WI3
If you are interested, I would like to meet up for a training hike of Mailbox Peak's old trail if you are within range. I think that would give us a good chance to talk about experience, goals, and acceptable risk. I live in Seattle and right now I'm available on weekends and holidays.
