  1. I’m cleaning out my boot closet and offering great deals on premium backcountry boots by European manufacturers, all at least a half to a third off retail. I built up this stash of boots over the past five or six years, but not going to get to them all. These are all brand new, unused, many still in the box, except where noted. These are known and well reviewed boots, check them out online. Potential buyers will want to try these on, I’m in Seattle. These boots are US 13, Euro 47, with a couple of size 12s. 2. Set of five never-used cams, will sell as a set only, $125, obo, for all five. Includes Wild Country friends numbers 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 and 3.5. They are obviously new and unused. These are the older style friends, not Helium friends Contact scribe250 at comcast.net in Seattle
  3. Never used pair of Petzl Ascenders for sale, right and left hand, $120 for the pair. Contact scribe250 at comcast.net
  4. Granite Gear Crown 60 pack is the proud successor to the cult classic Vapor Trail, with upgrades that include an all-new suspension system and lighter weight. A top of the line, state of the art backpack for long distance hikers and serious backcountry travelers, the Granite Gear Crown 60 is a favorite of thru hikers on the Appalachian Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail. REI sells this pack for $199, I’m selling this brand new, never used, tags and all Crown 60 for $140. This is one of the most sought after backpacks on the market today at an unreal price. REI describes the features: • The Crown has a full length, die-cut HDPE sheet • Hipbelt and shoulder straps feature dual-density padding and narrow webbing straps; shoulder strap has a built in stretch-mesh pocket • Top loading design features a secure roll-top closure that provides easy access to the main compartment • Internal pocket holds hydration reservoir (sold separately) for hands-free drinking on the trail • Pack exterior sports light and effective LineLoc compression, a voluminous stretch-mesh front pocket and stretch-mesh side pockets • The Granite Gear Crown 60 pack is made with a 100-denier? sil-nylon hybrid Cordura® body and 210-denier? Cordura reinforcements for extra strength in key areas Read many rave reviews here: http://www.rei.com/product/831620/granite-gear-crown-vc-60-pack#reviewsTab contact: scribe250 at comcast.net
  5. The Nitro Zero Degree is an incredibly warm bag for its weight--less than three pounds--and packs down to the size of a loaf of bread. That's possible thanks to the 800 fill power high quality down used in its manufacture. This is an expensive, state of the art bag, Regular Length, that has never been out of its storage sack. The bag usually sells for $500, I saw it on Sierra Trading Post for $395, I'm selling this brand new bag for almost half that, asking $225. This is a great deal for serious go light backpackers, climbers and wilderness travelers who want a top of the line, ultra light zero degree sleeping bag. Here's what Backcounry.com says about this bag: "It's tough to find a bag as warm as the Sierra Designs Nitro 0-Degree Down Sleeping Bag in the sub-three-pound range. The Nitro bag packs into an impressively small sack, and the Nitro's Flex construction provides comfort while allowing Sierra Designs to shave ounces. " Check out all the specs and information here: http://www.backcountry.com/sierra-designs-nitro-0-deg-800-fill-0-40-down'>http://www.backcountry.com/sierra-designs-nitro-0-deg-800-fill-0-40-down Or check out the Sierra Trading Post write up: http://www.backcountry.com/sierra-designs-nitro-0-deg-800-fill-0-40-down contact: scribe250 at comcast.net
  6. A state of the art, ultra light solo shelter for climbing, hiking and extended backcountry travel. This is a sought after tent for serious outdoor adventure weighing in at just over 2 pounds but stable and beefy in wind and dry in rain. This tent was set up once in my back yard but has never been used. It comes with the Big Agnes footprint. REI says: An ultralight, three-season shelter for one that weighs in at scant 2 lb., the Big Agnes Fly Creek UL1 tent grants protection from bugs and rain at an ethereal weight. Check out specs and reviews here: http://www.rei.com/product/865392/big-agnes-fly-creek-ul1-tent REI sells this exact tent right now for $330, so this is a bargain price on a great piece of equipment. contact is scribe250 at comcast.net
  7. Those who know the reputation of famed Seattle pack maker understand the quality of his packs. They are bombproof and innovative. Dan built these two packs for me, a 6-foot 175 pound person, and are best suited to someone around that size. The larger one is a full-on expedition pack known as the Alpineer, which is up to any backcountry trip, climbing or hiking. Its many features can be configured to fit any need, such as the water bottle pockets and side pockets can be removed. It was well used, and shows some cosmetic blemishes and wear, but has years of life left in it. Condition is good. The smaller pack was built later, and would fit anyone 5-8 to 6-2. This is an alpine, or summit pack, I estimate 50 liters in capacity. I did weekend backcountry trips and had room to spare. It has a double daisy chain and tool loops. To my mind, it is the equal of any pack on the market today in terms of utility, comfort and durability. It was lightly used. Condition is like new. These packs are priced to sell: $60 for the large Alpineer, $75 for the summit pack, obo. contact scribe250 at comcast.net
  8. SOLD The Swiss designed Aries Mesh Tent features the same burly tunnel design that Exped uses on its full-on expedition tents but with lightened materials and features help you move quickly. Though Exped rated this as a three-season tent, the Aries could easily take on a mountaineering trip or ski tour in the hands of an experienced winter traveler. In addition to the roomy interior, this tent also includes a plush 16sq feet of covered vestibule space to keep your boots, packs, and other gear out of the weather. This tent has been set up in my back yard once, but never used in the field Far too many details to list here, check it out on Backpacker Magazne, which called it “tough and light: http://www.backpacker.com/gear_guide_2009_exped_aries_mesh_tent_review/gear/12979 Or check it out on these other sites: http://www.moontrail.com/exped-aries-mesh.php or: http://www.trailspace.com/gear/exped/aries-mesh/ If you can find it, the Aries Mesh sells for $250 to $325 on the web, I’m offering this state of the tent for $150 contact scribe250 at comcast.net
  9. This rope has never been used or even removed from the original zip tie, it's been hanging in my climbing closet since I bought it new nine years ago, and has never seen the light of day. For sale: $100 or obo. Contact Peter: scribe250 at comcast.net
