Are you an experienced rock climber who enjoys working with kids? Do you have several years of personal experience competing through USA Climbing at a national level? Do you have the ideas and experience to build a new program in the areas of strength training, climbing technique and competition skills? If so, we want to talk to you! Island Rock Gym in Bainbridge Island, WA is hiring a coach to continue developing our rock climbing team which started in early 2014. Qualifications: •5+ years competing through USA Climbing sanctioned competitions (or similar); national level experience preferred. •Solid background in strength training & climbing technique. •To align with our values, applicant should be patient and able to communicate with kindness and respect. •College degree preferred Responsibilities: •Plan & execute extensive training program for youth climbing team •Run team practices several times a week, managing content, pace, and climber performance •Enforce team participation expectations •Communicate regularly with team and parents regarding updates, etc. •Manage climbers at local, regional, divisional and national level competitions To apply, email jobs@islandrockgym.com
