The Goat's Beard Mountain Supplies is sponsoring Ian Nicholson, author of the new SuperTopo guide book on WA Pass, for a slide show on some of the best alpine climbing in the country. Slide show and book signing event will be 7:30pm on June 28 at the Winthrop Barn. Proceeds will go to Friends of Fun Rock for a new anchor initiative. This slide show will be just before the Mountain Film on Tour - Winthrop's presentation on Chasing Ice.

The slide show will take place Friday June 28 at 7:30pm at the Winthrop Barn just preceding the Mountain Film on Tour presentation of Chasing Ice. Donations for the event will benefit the Friends of Fun Rock for a new anchor replacement program. Has anyone found ice in condition this season? Thinking of heading to Rainy Lake - it's been below freezing for a couple weeks now according to the snotel site.
