Ok, maybe this belongs in the "newbie" section, couldn't decide. Anyone willing to take out a couple of guys on some snow so we can get some hands on with roping up, using harnesses,tying knots, practicing crevasse rescue, etc? You can only read "Freedom of the Hills" so much. We're experienced in the outdoors but not so much with the glacier stuff. A couple of weeks ago we went with an experienced guy to attempt a Rainier summit but were snowed out and realized we just don't want to be as dependent on others.
