I was hoping to climb South Sister under the light of the full moon Aug 13, 2011. Hit the trail at midnight, summit by dawn. Last week the ranger station told me there was still 3 to 10ft of snow, trail markers would be buried, suncupping the size of cars. I've never climbed it (or any mountain for that matter). Has anyone been recently to report if it's do-able? If so, anyone want to join me? Thanks!
