[Mt Rainier conditions]

Anyone have photos from the past few weeks of the Kautz glacier?

Anyone have any of these-- conditions from the past 2 weeks or so?

I'd say snow was rotten and isothermal until about 9400.

Was interested in going up there to do some skiing.

 

Looks like snow was relatively rotten/ isothermic 'til about 7,000.' Would you say that's a fair assessment?

[Mounting kicker skins. Don't laugh!]

1. Why did you choose the kicker skins? Are you using a full reverse camber ski?

 

2. Yes, the metal slide goes toward the tip (front) of the ski.

 

3. The most traction when you skin will be underneath your foot, so mounting the skins centered on boot center is what's recommended, I believe.
