Pair of car camping sleeping bags - zip together
ctmoritz replied to ctmoritz's topic in The Yard Sale
Bump for new price -
Pair of older REI synthetic sleeping bags with opposite zippers that can be zipped together. Recently cleaned and always stored hanging/expanded in plastic wrap (see photos). No funk. Bags are slightly different lengths (e.g., his/hers). Mummy-style. Perfect for car camping or big walls (where synthetic will save your life), but probably too heavy for alpine climbing. Asking $40 for the pair, including regular stuff sacks (pictured). Photos at bottom show stuffed in regular, included stuff sack (~19" long) and what is possible in a compression sack (~12" - compression sack not included). Each bag weighs about 3.5 to 4 lbs in a stuff sack. email at {username}@gmail.com or PM on this site.

Well-used but still highly-servicable Black-Ice crampons from Charlet Moser. Step in heal with quick-adjust thumb screw, and toe-bars to fit any boot whether or not they have a toe-bail slot. Anti-bot plates keep snow from sticking (included), although the latex on these is starting to deteriorate so may need to be replaced soon. Perfect for moderate to steep couloirs (e.g., Black-Ice Couloir in the Sierra or Stuart Glacier couloir) but also work great on glacier walk-ups. Fits perfectly on La Sportiva Trango boots (also for sale - see other link), as well as nearly any leather or plastic mountaineering boot (been used on Nepal Tops, Kolflach Verticals, etc.). Asking $40. email at {username}@gmail.com or PM on this site

Perfect boots for mixed snow/rock alpine routes. Cross a small glacier or snow field to reach an easy rock route (e.g., North Cascades or Sierras) and never changes shoes/boots all day. Sticky rubber sole with smooth toe for rock climbing (see photo). Also great for Aid and Big wall routes with full steal shank to support arches when standing in aiders all day, and sticky rubber rand on toe to keep from slipping. Heal accepts step-in crampons, but no toe bail notch so must use crampons with toe posts like CM Black-Ice (pictured but already sold). Well-worn but still plenty of life left. Ends of laces are fraying, but otherwise ready to go. Can't read the size anymore, but these fit snug on my 10.5 US foot, so likely EU 43-44. Asking $40 Email at {username}@gmail.com or PM on this site

Well-used but still very serviceable all-purpose ice axe. Perfect for Rainier and other cascade volcanos Paint chipped on lower half from cleaning crampons, but upper shaft paint and all tips in good shape. Rubber adze and pick protector included. Similar to axe linked below: http://www.bogong.com.au/stubai-blue-star-ice-axe-65cm-1.html Asking $25 email at {username}@gmail.com or PM on this site

Well-used by still highly-functional CM Pulsar ice tools. Pair of straight-shaft metal ice tools ideal for steep alpine snow and ice (plunging and daggering), as well as water ice. Rugged enough to clean crampons on descent. Head weights and many extra picks included (see photo), including classic-curve 'Aplinisme' (for self-arrest on low angled snow) and several pairs of Cascade Pulsar picks for steep water ice (some filed down to reduce sticking on removal). BD twist leashes included. Still many years of life left in these versatile tools. Asking $80 for both tools and all extra picks. Email at {username}@gmail.com or PM on this site

Excellent condition pair of Blue Water Ice floss 8mm x 60m ropes. Extremely flexible single-pick sheath with essentially no wear/fuzz. Great ropes for water ice, glacier travel, or sketchy/loose alpine rock routes. Always stored dry and indoors, out of sun/UV. Regularly $147-$165 each (see link below) for total of $300. http://www.amazon.com/7-7mm-Floss-Double-Dynamic-Yellow/dp/B0012RGMF2 Asking $90

Very good condition OR overboots size XL (will fit up to size 12.5 US Mens plastic boots). Similar to Brooks Rangers, but without insulation on lower leg, just around and under feet/ankles. To tears in Goretex, just one nick in the velcro strap (pictured) that is only used when wearing them as camp-booties. Could easily glue or sew to repair. Kept feet toasty warm on summit of Denali at -40F (with Koflach boots also for sale - see other link). Asking $40 email at {username}@gmail.com or PM on this site

Very good condition Koflach Vertical plastic boots size EU 12, US 12.5. Only used on about 3 climbs. Kept feet toasty on Rainier without overboots, and on summit of Denali at -40 with overboots (also for sale, see other link). Similar to current Arctis Expedition linked below for about $480, but without translucent plastic on top of foot (still no problem lacing these at -40F). http://www.koflach.com/en/parsepage.php?tpl=tpl_prodotti_detail&sqlpam1=257 Just one small nick in the sole near arch (Pictured - crampon wear). And must provide insoles (superfeet worked great - but they've since been cut down for smaller ski boots). Asking $100 email at {username}@gmail.com or PM on this site

Feathered Friends Rock & Ice Down Parka size XL in excellent condition. Only used once on Denali, and kept me toasty warm on the summit at -40. Always stored hanging/expanded, and still incredibly lofty. No tears, marks or funk. Very similar to current model linked here for $829, but with 750 fill: http://featheredfriends.com/rock-ice-down-parka.html Asking $290 Email at {username}@gmail.com or PM on this site.
