Anyone want to climb Adams on Memorial Day weekend (end of May)? I'll be flying in from North Carolina (grew up in WA), camp at lunch counter, and then summit and ski down SW Chutes the next day. Looking for someone else or a group that might want to go (for safety reasons as well as comaraderie), otherwise I'm prepared to go solo if need be. I realize there may be a 5+ mile slog just to get to Morrison Creek or Cold Springs campgrounds that early in the season and with above average snowfall this season being forecasted. I'll probably stay a night at Morrison or Cold Springs if there's a long slog in. Even if you want to make it a day climb that's fine, better than nothing to have someone along until Lunch Counter at least. I'll have a rental car (SUV planned, preferably 4-wheel drive and/or chains) and we can work out logistics. I climbed 14,000+ Pike's Peak last year (warm weather though), looking to do Adams this year then Rainier next and Mt Kilimanjaro the year after next. Brian
