Last weekend my friend and I started up Prime Rib on Goat Wall. We got nearly halfway up, to the awesome au cheval belay, but it was his first outdoor climb, and at that point he got really freaked out about the exposure. So we bailed. Anyone want to climb it Sunday morning? I would be happy to swing leads, or I could lead if you don't want to. This is my first season leading, but I've led sport up to 5.10a and I was comfortable leading those first five pitches of Prime Rib. Got draws, got car. This is my first season leading trad, and I'm looking to expand my list of possible partners. I can lead comfortably to 5.7, and I'm OK with 5.8 too. I have ~six glacier climbs under my belt, and my cardio/endurance fitness is OK (one-day climbs of Baker [Coleman-Deming] and Eldorado, and a two-day climb of Olympus in the last three weeks). I'm 20, if that matters. Here are some climbs I'd love to get on this month: * Forbidden, W ridge * Prusik, W ridge * Dragontail, Serpentine arete (if I can find a more experienced partner) * Rainier, Kautz glacier I'm in Seattle until the end of August, then I head back to the east coast for school. Hi! I have lots of scrambling experience, but I've only gone climbing a few times. Is anyone with some ice climbing experience willing to take me climbing? I have a car and would pay for gas in exchange. Also I could buy you a beer afterwards!
