  3. I'm selling a used Exped Polaris Mountaineering 2 person 4 season tent. This tent includes the tent, ground cloth, and stakes. The tent retails for $800 but I'm selling it for $500. The tent is in excellent condition. The Exped Polaris Tent is a single wall tent with a vestibule for wet gear, room to cook, and space to sit out a storm! Super sturdy and freestanding. Strength and aerodynamics make Polaris the perfect expedition tent! It can hold two people comfortably, and is tall enough to sit up in. Backcountry.com said about the Polaris, "Exped created the Polaris 2-Person 4-Season Tent to give alpine climbers and mountaineers every technical advantage when they venture into the high mountains. The Polaris Tent's 5lb 6oz weight easily makes the cut on large carry-over routes, and burly three-layer single-wall construction stands strong if you get pinned down in a brutal storm. Exped added an attached vestibule to provide out-of-the weather storage for your crampons, ice tools, and packs. This ultra-tough tent also comes with sliding pole tension pockets to help you set it up in seconds and get out of the weather." Details * Single wall fabric of highly breathable and ultra-waterproof VentAir 3 layer PTFE laminate specific for tents. Vestiblule of lightweight and tear resistant ripstop nylon with a silicone coating. * Fully freestanding: Full length ridge pole supports the structure and forms the vestibule. Of course, such easy setup also means simple teardown! And, for situations in which it is hard to stake out guylines, the poles can be braced together from the inside using the guylines. * New for 2011: Center pole now runs outside in a sleeve. Previous models placed the center pole inside the tent and secured it with velcro straps. * Fast setup: just slide 4 color-coded poles into their sleeves and tension the pockets; secure and plant 2-4 stakes. That’s it! * Covered vestibule for gear and cooking. * Ventilation and views on all 4 sides through door, rear window, and two offset tunnel vents. * Easy handling, day or night: zippers have color coded, reflective, and glow-in-the-dark pulls that operate easily with just one hand. * Reinforced guyline loops attach directly to the pole sleeves. Triple guyline flaps on the sides connect to the floor loop. * Guylines of ultralight and static Dyneema with a tear force of 300lbs/ 140kg * Taffeta nylon floor with fully taped seams and a water column rating of 14+ PSI (10,000mm). * Adjustable guylines made of super strong, lightweight and reflective Dyneema cord are premounted in a stormproof V-configuration. Specs: Capacity: 2 adults Weight: Minimum*: 5.4 # / 2.45 kg Packaged: 6.5 # / 2.95 kg Area: Canopy: 30 sq-f / 2.8 sq-m Vestibule: 7.5 sq-f / 0.7 sq-m Materials**: Canopy: 3 layer VentAir mini ripstop / PTFE / polyester tricot fabric with fully taped seams; Vestibule: Silicone coated ripstop nylon; Floor: PU-coated, taffeta nylon with 10,000 mm water column: Poles: DAC Featherlite NSL 9 mm TH72M aircraft grade aluminium Packed size: 18x6’’ / 42x16 cm Setup time: 3 Minute Condition The tent is in "like new" condition. It's only been used twice. Both times it performed superbly in cold, snowy, windy conditions at high altitude. I've moved and I don't have room for all of my climbing gear. Additional Information For a few videos on the Polaris, visit Exped's site: http://www.exped.com/exped/web/exped_homepage_na.nsf/0/1091DF27F165DFD4C125767E00705EB9?opendocument ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
  4. I'm selling these tools for $250. Includes: set of BD Viper ice tools, 2 sets of picks, leashes, 1 adze (hammers are already attached to the tools), 1 strike, BD wrench for ice tools. These 2007 Black Diamond Viper Ice Tools are used. They come with two sets of Black Diamond picks: 1 set that is pretty worn down and 1 set that is still in good enough condition to use. These ice tools also come with one adze (they are both currently set up with the hammers), a strike, two leases, and the Black Diamond wrench to remove the head bolts for changing the picks. Even though these are used tools, the metal in the head and shaft are solid, These tools have scrapes, scratches and dents in the rubber of the handle, but all parts are still safe to use and in solid working order. These tools have never been dropped. These ice tools are good for water ice and alpine ice. Here's what Backcountry.com says about these tools, "The Black Diamond Viper Ice Tool uses a highly curved minor-axis shaft to provide excellent clearance on hard, steep ice and mixed terrain. Besides easily clearing big mushrooms and other weird ice formations, the Viper Ice Tool has a true, accurate swing that provides solid placement even when you're pumped stupid. This precision Black Diamond ice tool comes with a Viper Fang for leashless climbing. Add a Viper Strike to this tool for easy matching on mixed terrain, or pair this tool with a Viper Android leash for long, steep, and unrelenting ice climbs." Material: [shaft] Aluminum; [head] steel Length: 50cm Weight: 1lb 8oz All sales are final. Shipping: If you are in the Seattle area I can meet you and give you the tools. Outside of Seattle, I will ship these tools to you. Shipping costs - $10 within the US, $15 to Canada. Message me with questions or to purchase the ice tools.
