  1. Considering going to Greenland for a mountaineering expedition but don't want to pay over the odds? Then you have to consider this expedition here. We are organizing an expedition to Greenland in April 2013 employing the service of a company with a proven track record of more than 2 decades operating in the area. We managed to negotiate a killer-deal but if we can get a few more onboard; we can lower the price much more. Here we are offering the opportunity to come on the expedition at cost. The expedition leader will be a IFMGA/MIC guide (the highest mountaineering qualification in the UK) and all the expensive logistics ex-Iceland to Greenland. We are cool with splitting the team up so it is ideal for those of you who are looking at getting into Arctic mountaineering or those with more experiences seeking opportunity for first ascents or ski descents. For more information please go to http://www.alpinistica.com/greenland-expedition.html Any questions at all you may reply here or feel free to contact Alpinistica directly. See you in Greenland!
  2. Latest update (20 Oct): Just spoke to the girl from the Ministry of Tourism 2 days ago. She confirmed Mt. Aconcagua climbing permit fee is set to INCREASE for the 2012/2013 climbing season. The exact figure will be released in a couple weeks. A 20 days climbing permit was US$720 per climber. The season officially begins on the 15th November 2012. 6. A client is making an early season hike to Mt. Aconcagua next month (October) with Alpinistica (http://www.alpinistica.com). This is not a trek in the national park, this is a hike to try for the summit. His friends pulled out last minute so he is looking for 2 more to make his climbing team. Since the climb is coming up, the climbing fee had been heavily discounted. You'd be surprise how affordable it is. It is a great opportunity to pay a relatively small fee for the normally expensive and now exclusive (small group) expedition to the roof of Americas. Early season ascent also mean the group get to have the whole mountain to themselves. Feel free to send me a message if you are interested or have any enquiries about climbing Mt. Aconcagua. Cheers, Jono
  7. I personally find them to be true to size. I wear a 43 La Sportiva Makalu which gave me blister hell for the first 3 months but a delight to wear now. 42.5 would work for me, but 43 would be handy to accommodate the thicker socks or thinner sock with a heat pack. For reference, I also wear a mondo 26.5 Dynafit and size 9-9 1/2 US in most other footwear. edited for spelling mistake.
  8. Final bump.
  9. Still available.
  10. For sale is a pair of La Sportiva's premier double boots - the Spantik, size 42.5 euro. Never been worn outside, brand new with tag. A gift but half size too small. Bought another one pair so this one must go. Asking for $490 + shipping.
