  1. PS. Have an interest in mixed/ice.
  2. First: I've almost always available as I currently don't work. (Nor do I have a wife/gf that would prevent me from doing what I want, when I want) Second: Looking for people who want to climb anything. Sport, trad, alpine, local, missions, etc. Third: My climbing backgroud: Formal training as a graduate of the Mountaineers Basic Course. So you know my fundamentals are sound. Have climbed various alpine routes including Rainier, Hood, Eldorado, Tooth, SEWS, Stewart, etc. Minimal trad experience but would like to expand on this. Significant Sport climbing with leads up to 5.10c at Frenchman's Coulee. Mainly looking to connect with people who want to get out and have a good time. Safety and communication among partners is key. I'm willing to share my knowledge with those less experienced. And I'd hope to soak up some knowledge from those with more experience then myself. Of course the only way to do this is to discuss situations and approaches to problem solving in the mts. Anyone interested, drop me a line.
  3. Would definitely be interested in catching up for some moderate climbing sometime soon. I've followed up to 5.8 ish trad and done extensive sport up to 5.10b leads. Formally trained through the Mountaineers Basic climbing course, so you can be sure that I have my fundamentals down. I climb for the enjoyment of it and therefore believe in safety and communication as the keys to a good time. Hit me up in the near future if you want to get out. Maybe for some craging at first to check the vibes out. Chris ccgossage@gmail.com
  4. Would definitely be interested in meeting up for some climbing. Rock wise, it sounds like you are climbing routes roughly where I'd be at. I have quite a bit of sport climbing experience but lately I've just been training (ie working out) and not climbing much. My formal climbing training is as a Mountaineers Basic Climbing graduate. Done substantial climbing since then but that should serve as a testament to my fundamental skills. Email me the details at ccgossage@gmail.com Chris
  5. Thank you very much for the info. I'm considering soloing the route and just wanted some clarification on that section since I don't mind the steep snow but don't want any rock climbing surprises 100 ft from the top. Again, I appreciate the beta.
  6. I'm looking for clarification on the NW face and summit block portion of the NBC route. I've read almost every trip report I could find and have found differing reports. It seems that some rope up for the final portion and other don't. Is it steep snow to the summit or is there a 30 ft. rock climb at the end? Thanks.
