  1. Eek...I have a BD Alpine Bod...wonder how they're buckles have done historically.
  2. I'll get my girlfriend's camera and try to get a good pick or two when I get home. I was pleasantly surprised to find out how nice they were when they came. Now all I have to do is figure out how to justify having 4 more axes! I suppose I could sell a couple of 'em but I have this feeling like I want to hoard them all lol. I only wish they came w/ the original leather guards.
  3. I have no intentions of selling these but I am curious at to what the "market value" tends to be. I had good mojo and ended up with 4 (yes 4!) mid-1940's Stubai ice axes, along with a bunch of other non-mountaineering vintage goodies. They're unused! The heads and spikes are pristine and the handles (can't tell which particular wood) are perfect. I'm curious as to what one of these is worth in such condition. When I was talking to Rick Wilcox at IME about wood handled vintage axes (used condition at that)when I was looking for one, he said they run about $250. I've seen them go for a lot less on e-bay (although they weren't in tip top condition. Anyone else have any knowledge? They're beautiful pieces...
