How's the ice holding up out in Squamish? Any good spots to take beginners to scare them silly?

I'm looking for an area that's in right now that I can take some beginners.

Yeah we're finding some of the ice out here is not adhered to the rock very well either. I wonder if that's from being flash frozen or what factors lead to that?? Dirt, minerals, etc.. Can anyone suggest a good beginner area, I'm taking out several groups in the next week. Mouse trap would've been perfect however....

I would agree with Dane. As does CH in his article on Alpine gear. Leashes actually use more energy than leashless. Undoing and re-attaching the leashes could lead to dropping your tools by knocking them out of the ice, especially on thin ice.
