Yo, so a few buddies and I are planning a trip to slesse's northeast buttress and I've heard conflicting stories about the whole park the car on the other side of the mountain for a way out. The select book said you can park at the slesse mountain trailhead (west side off the hill) to get back to where you started, but people have been telling me you can't do this anymore because of the military or something. Has anyone been up there recently and know the situation? Perhaps suggest a plan? Thanks alot! Peace, Old bones dobie

Just looking for some people to climb with. I live in the Everett, Wa area. Have climbed St. helens, Adams, Baring, Pilchuck too many times from every angle, North Gardner, and a bunch more. Looking to get into glacier travel and get up Baker/Rainer/Glacier etc. All geared up and know skills needed for crevasse rescue. All other climbing buddies keep backing out. I am a well conditioned 24 yr. old guy in great shape. Help me out...
