Hey, I am going to be in GNP in August with the family and am looking for a few good peak scrambles. I will pick up the Edwards guide I saw in some of the other posts in this section but was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Won't be bringing gear so class 4 or less is what it will have to be.

Thanks. What if you have dyneema or similar instead of nylon? Should you use a biner or is there another way to join them?

I went up Lane a couple weekends back. There was plenty of snow. We climbed the gully between Lane and Denham becasue we were worried about avalanches. There was plenty of evidence of them all around. We went around the backside and up a gully to the top. There was a great glissade down from the Stevens Canyon road to the Narada Falls lot... unfortunately, it looked mostly melted out with rocks everywhere on it last weekend.
