We are a group of 3 climbers with experience equivalent to Rainier summits and winter mountaineering in the Rockies, planning a non-commercial independent expedition of Denali in June 2007. Ideally we would like a group of 4-6 climbers, including at least one other couple. Mountaineering experience and top fitness is absolutely necessary. We are endurance athletes and have excellent confidence in our fitness level. Our departure date from Talkeenta is June 27-28. There is no cost to join our group; each climber just needs his or her own equipment and travel means. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area and would like to meet our future partners in person at some point before our Alaska trip, possibly for a winter ascent of Mt. Whitney or Mt. Shasta.
